The Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum is a museum in New York City located at Pier 86 on the West Side of Manhattan. The museum showcases the World War II aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, the submarine USS Growler, and a Concorde supersonic airplane.

This location places the museum next to a cruise ship terminal. A diplomatic consulate of the People's Republic of China is located nearby.

The museum serves as a host for the annual Fleet Week events.

About the ship:

The fourth USS Intrepid (CV/CVA/CVS-11) was an Essex-class aircraft carrier of the United States Navy. Intrepid participated in the Pacific War, most notably the Battle of Leyte Gulf, recovered space capsules of the Mercury and Gemini projects, served in the Vietnam War, and as of 2005 is a museum ship in New York City called Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum.
