Keleti pályaudvar or Eastern Railway Station is the largest railway station in Budapest. It can be found in the 8th district (Józsefváros), on Baross Square.

The building was constructed in eclectic style between 1881 and 1884 and was one of the modernest railway stations of Europe in that time. It was planned by Gyula Rochlitz and János Feketeházy. The station's length is 93 m, the platform length is 80 m, underground depth is 14 m.

Keleti pályaudvar is also a station of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro and from about 2009 on, it will be a station of the M4 line, too.

It is also planned that fast train service would connect this railway station with the Budapest Ferihegy International Airport, maybe from 2007 on. The fact that the majority of Intercity services (36 out of 53) arrive at this railway station makes this decision more probable.

King's Cross station is a railway station in Kings Cross to the north east of central London. It is located in the borough of Camden, and is the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line. It is immediately adjacent to St Pancras station.

The station serves routes to the North East of the UK, including Cambridge, York, Durham, Newcastle and Edinburgh. King's Cross also incorporates a major Underground station known as King's Cross St. Pancras, which is a major interchange station on the Tube network.

Kraków Main station (Polish: Kraków Główny, commonly called Dworzec Główny) is the largest and the most centrally located railway station in Kraków. The building, constructed between 1844 and 1847 (architect: P.Rosenbaum), was sited parallel to the tracks, even though the station was initially a terminus of the Kolej Krakowsko-Górnośląska (Obeschlesische-Krakauer Eisenbahn, English: Cracow and Upper Silesia Railway). This design was chosen to allow for future line expansion. Trains entered the trainshed via an archway in a brick wall at the northern end of the station. The station opened on 13 October, 1847, with the first train leaving for Mysłowice (then Myslowitz in Prussia).

When the railway line got extended eastwards by the k.k. priv. galizische Carl Ludwig-Bahn (the first section, to Dębica, then Dembitz in the Habsburg Empire, opened in 1856), the increasing traffic resulted in the station's having been modernised and enlarged in stages between 1869 and 1894. The next substantial expansion took place in the 1930s. At that time the northern brick wall and trainshed were demolished, the latter replaced by individual platform roofs.

Currently (mid 2000s) the area surrounding the station is undergoing major development. A new transport interchange is being developed (a coach station, new tram lines, etc.); a new shopping centre (Galeria Krakowska, Cracow Gallery) opened in September 2006.
