MTU Aero Engines, Germany's leading aircraft engine manufacturer, develops, manufactures and provides service support for aircraft engines, military and civil alike. MTU Aero Engines was formerly known as MTU München. Its customers are manufacturers and operators of engines and industrial gas turbines across the world. MTU is short for Motoren- und Turbinen-Union.

The company has roots dating back to the early years of motorized flight. The brand MTU itself was established in the late 1960s as a joint venture of Daimler-Benz and MAN, manufacturing aircraft engines in Munich and other engines and gas turbines in Friedrichshafen. In 1985, Daimler-Benz bought MAN's 50% share in the company and made MTU part of its aerospace subsidiary DASA. In 2000, when DASA was merged with other companies to form the European aeronautics and defense systems company EADS, MTU was split from DASA and stayed part of DaimlerChrysler. In 2003, MTU was sold to private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and, two years later, KKR in turn sold all its shares at Germany's stock exchanges.

The De Lorean Motor Company (DMC) was a short-lived automobile manufacturer formed by automobile industry executive John De Lorean in 1975. It is remembered for the one distinctive model it produced – the stainless steel De Lorean DMC-12 sports car featuring gull-wing doors – and for its brief and turbulent history, ending in receivership and bankruptcy in 1982. Near the end, in a desperate attempt to raise the funds his company needed to survive, John De Lorean was filmed appearing to accept money to take part in drug trafficking, but was subsequently acquitted, on the basis of entrapment, of charges brought against him.

Although the company had ceased to exist before the first movie was made, the De Lorean DMC-12 shot to worldwide fame in the Back to the Future movie trilogy as the car transformed into a time machine by eccentric scientist Doctor Emmett L. Brown.

Capitol Records is a major United States-based record label, owned by EMI.

The Capitol Records Tower is one of the most distinctive landmarks in Hollywood, California. The 13-story earthquake resistant tower, designed by Welton Becket, was the world's first circular office building, and is home to several recording studios. The wide curved awnings over windows on each story and the tall spike emerging from the top of the building combine to give it the appearance of a stack of vinyl 45s on a turntable. The rectangular ground floor is a separate structure, joined to the tower after it was completed. It was built in 1956 just north of the intersection of Hollywood and Vine as the consolidated West Coast operations of Capitol Records; it houses the operations of Capitol Records and Capitol Studios, a recording facility that includes an echo chamber engineered by guitarist Les Paul. It would also be known as “The House That Bozo Built” due to the vast amounts of records and merchandise Bozo sold for the company.
