Maps, Virtual Earth / Nearest placesKings Park Stadium, also known for sponsorship reasons as ABSA Stadium, is a football stadium in Durban, South Africa which was originally built in 1891 and extensively renovated in 1990. It has a capacity of 52,000, and is used for both football (soccer) and rugby. The stadium currently hosts the following teams:
* The Sharks in the Southern Hemisphere Super 14 rugby competition
* The Natal Sharks (not to be confused with the above) in South Africa's main domestic rugby competition, the Currie Cup
* The Golden Arrows in the Premier Soccer League
Kings Park will no longer be a venue for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as a new 75,000 seater stadium will be constructed where the existing adjacent Kings Park Soccer Stadium stands.
